Evan Firestone, President

Evan Firestone founded Firestone Consulting in 2001 to provide analytical services to institutions involved in the mortgage- and asset-backed markets. Subsequently, he concentrated on marketing the products of B2B FinTech firms and consulting to more than 100 financial institutions.

Prior to founding the company, Mr. Firestone managed the Mortgage Research departments of Merrill Lynch and Credit Suisse First Boston where he was responsible for model development and for providing market and prepayment analysis. He also translated the analytical requirements of mortgage sales, trading, and finance professionals into targeted systems development. While working on Wall Street, Mr. Firestone developed many of the standards for analyzing the mortgage-backed and asset-backed markets.

Mr. Firestone is a past Chairman of the Mortgage and Asset-Backed Division of the Bond Market Association (now part of the Securities Industry and Financial Markets Association) as well as a Chairman of both the MBS/ABS Research and Trading Practices Committees. In 1999, The Bond Market Association awarded Mr. Firestone its Chairman's Achievement Award for extraordinary service to the industry.
